Fiano is the ancient Campanian grapevine that the Latins indicated with the name (Vitis Apiana) because of the sweetness of its grapes that attracted bees. Its ampelographic matrix leads it to Hellenic varieties of the Magna Graecia Age. The wine it produced was highly appreciated by Roman consuls and emperors and still today enjoys the reputation of being one of the best white wines in Italy, due to its structure and extraordinary finesse and even in Sicily it shows all its exuberance.
